Police: Woman stole $358 in books from Rock Hill Walmart

A Lancaster woman is accused of stealing over $350 worth of books from a Walmart in Rock Hill, according to police.

A Lancaster woman is accused of stealing over $350 worth of books from a Walmart in Rock Hill, according to police.

Amber Gayle Henry, 31, was arrested and charged with shoplifting on Wednesday after employees at the Dave Lyle Boulevard store saw her steal 34 books valued at $358, according to a Rock Hill police report.

According to staff, Henry tried to hide the books in plastic Walmart shopping bags as if the items had been paid for.

Henry was detained by store staff before police arrived to arrest her. All the books were returned.
