Woman attacked at York rec center

A 30-year-old woman was attacked and cut by an unknown man at a recreational center in York, according to a police report.

A nurse at Piedmont Medical Center who treated the victim reported the incident to police.

According to the York police report, the woman was with her twin sons at York Recreational Complex on Friday night when she was attacked after leaving the women’s restroom. Her two sons were using the male restroom at the time of the attack.

The report states than an unknown man grabbed her by the arm and cut her in the face with an unidentified silver object. The victim was able to grab her sons and flee to her car.

Two witnesses spotted a man fleeing the center. The victim received stitches for her injuries and declined to file a report herself.
