A Rock Hill woman told police that the father of her child pushed her onto the floor, choked her and then bit her fingers when an argument about their baby turned physical Tuesday evening, authorities say.
Police were sent to Piedmont Medical Center at about 6:15 p.m. when the woman, 20, reported that Solomon Tyrell Wilson, the father of her 9-month-old child, assaulted her, according to a Rock Hill police report. The woman told police she and Wilson, also 20, began arguing when Wilson asked her to his apartment “to provide child care.”
Wilson allegedly pushed her to the floor, got on top of her, used his forearm to choke her and held her down, repeatedly punching and slapping her in the face, the report states. The woman also claimed Wilson bit her fingers, though they did not appear to be injured. The woman was able to break free of Wilson’s grasp and grab her child when Wilson’s grandmother arrived. The woman suffered from cuts and bruises on her cheeks, and complained of head pain.
The victim’s mother had Wilson’s cell phone and called him, instructing him to drive to the hospital so he could retrieve his property, the report states. Once Wilson arrived in the parking lot, police stopped and arrested him, charging him with criminal domestic violence. Wilson was uncooperative with police, they reported, and insisted that “he was not Solomon Wilson.”

By Wednesday morning, he was still being held in the Rock Hill jail.
