A Rock Hill man remains in jail after deputies responding to an argument in the parking lot of a pharmacy on Celanese Road found narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and an open bottle of whiskey near a child in the man’s car, according to police and jail records.
Robert Brandon Jothen, 25, of Rock Hill, faces six drug charges and a count of open container after his arrest Wednesday. He is being held on a $8,382.50 bond, according to jail records.
In the incident Wednesday at a CVS store, police first met with the woman Jothen was allegedly arguing with, and saw a “very young child” in the back seat of the car, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report. Jothen came out of the store, and told police he had been inside getting his girlfriend’s medications. Deputies noticed pills in the car and began a search, according to the report.
Jothen had narcotic pills, a hypodermic syringe, and metal spoon in his pockets, and other narcotics and marijuana were found hidden in the car, according to the report. Police also found a marijuana pipe and an open bottle of whiskey in a bag.
The woman was not charged.
