A Clover man told police that his girlfriend knocked over his new motorcycle causing $3,000 in damages when he would not let her get a Four Loko canned alcohol drink, according to police reports.

Reports were filed both Thursday and Friday at the York County Sheriff’s Office after the incident Thursday evening. The reports show a dispute over buying the alcohol at the Hot Spot convenience store on U.S. 321 in Bowling Green near the North Carolina state line.

The man said the girlfriend knocked over the bike and told him “that’s what you get” for telling her what to do about alcohol. But when police asked the woman about the bike, she claimed it tipped over with her on it.

The body of the motorcycle was heavily cracked, and the windsheid was broken.
