One person was arrested and seven others were cited after deputies with the York County Sheriff’s Office broke up a “loud party” on Ross Street in Rock Hill.

Deputies went to the house on Ross Street at about 11:50 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived at the house, the resident said he was trying to clear the street because the party was out of control. He told the deputies everyone at the party was over age 21, but one of the deputies recognized one of the attendees and knew he was underage.

The party attendees ranged in age from 17 to 20. Seven were cited for being a minor in possession of beer.

The person who rented the home where the party was held, Jaitaivius Littlejohn, 20, was cited for transferring beer to a minor and arrested for possession of marijuana because deputies found marijuana inside the house.
