A Rock Hill man was recently arrested after assaulting a teenage girl at a grocery store.

Police responded to the Bi-Lo on East Main Street on Friday afternoon after receiving a call about an “intoxicated subject,” a police report states.

While at the Bi-Lo, police received another call about a subject with the same description who was at Bojangles. They found Brad Byrd, 34, at the Bojangles and arrested him on a public disorderly conduct charge.

Police later met with a 16-year-old girl, who said Byrd kissed her cheek, hugged her and told her he loved her near the meat department at the Bi-Lo, the report stated.

Byrd was charged with public disorderly conduct and third degree assault and battery.
