A Rock Hill man stole another man’s wallet containing a single dollar Tuesday morning at a Rock Hill McDonald’s, according to a police report.
A McDonald’s employees saw Donnie Smith, 55, roll a 54-year-old man over outside a McDonald’s on East Main Street and dig through his pockets, the report states. He tossed the victim’s wallet, with only $1 in it, to an unidentified man wearing an orange shirt. The victim was intoxicated, laid down in the shrubbery bed.
Another worker tracked down Smith and the two men began to fight while the unidentified man fled the scene. The McDonald’s employee restrained Smith until officers arrived, the report states. When officers arrived, the victim told them he wanted to press charges for his stolen wallet. Smith denied that anyone else was with him.
