A Rock Hill man accused of aggravated assault earlier this month has been arrested and additionally charged with attempted murder and kidnapping, according to a Rock Hill Police report.

George Szraga, 33, was arrested by York County deputies Wednesday at the Regency Inn on Riverview Road when a clerk notified police that Szraga was seen checking into a room. Szraga’s wife claims he physically assaulted her on Aug. 9, the report states. She also said he threatened to kill her and struck her in the head with a hammer, according to the report. Police say his wife had two black eyes, as well as bruises all over her body.

Szraga was also charged in January 2013 with child abuse for forcing his children to drink vodka.
