A man trapped a satellite TV contractor in his driveway because he wasn’t happy with how his satellite dish was set up, according to a York County sheriff’s report.
The 53-year-old man became irate when the Dish Network contractor told him he had set up the dish at the Cabin Creek Court home where the man’s wife had told him, the report states. The man demanded to speak to the contractor’s supervisor.
Once the man became irate, the report states, the contractor locked himself inside his work van.
Then man then blocked the contractor’s van in the driveway by placing a log behind it, and then parked his car behind it, the report states. The man told police he was protecting his property because the contractor could have been a scam artist, according to the report.

Officers explained to the man that his actions could be considered kidnapping, and he removed the log. Deputies told him to contact Dish Network with his complaints.
