Police on Thursday found crack cocaine and a pistol in a car involved in a reckless driving incident last week, according to a Rock Hill police report.
An officer spotted a 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass on Cherokee Avenue Thursday evening and pulled the driver over for failing to signal a turn, the report states.
The driver, Dontae Massey, 31, did not have a valid driver’s license and was arrested, the report states.
Police found 1.84 grams of crack in two plastic bags and $412 in Massey’s pants pocket, the report states. They also spotted a pistol under the seat of a passenger, Demonta Thrower, 30.

Massey was charged with his seventh crack cocaine-related offense, as well as reckless driving and driving while his license was suspended. He has previous drug convictions dating back to 2002.
Thrower was charged with carrying a pistol unlawfully and providing false information to police because he initially lied about his name to police, the report states.
Both arrested and taken to the Rock Hill jail, where Massey was being held on $25,000 bond and Thrower was being held on $15,000 bond on Friday.
