A man walking on Dave Lyle Boulevard late Monday night was shot and injured in a reported drive-by shooting.
The 21-year-old was walking near Annafrel Street around midnight when a car approached from behind and fired two or three shots at the pedestrian. The man ran behind some bushes and realized he had been hit in the right chest area, according to a Rock Hill Police report. The car, which the victim could only describe as “dark,” drove on down the road.
Injured, the man flagged down a passing car and went to Piedmont Medical Center. The man had a bullet wound to his right pectoral muscle where the bullet traveled clean through, and a separate graze wound to the same area. The victim spoke to investigators and could not give a reason anyone would want to harm him.
Police searched the area where the shooting reportedly occurred for any physical evidence of the crime without success.
