Two unidentified men made off with cash and a cell phone after an armed robbery in Chester County early Tuesday morning.
Deputies with the Chester County Sheriff’s Office responded to the McDonald’s on Lancaster Highway in Richburg around 12:45, responding to a call of an armed robbery in progress, according to an incident report.
Once they arrived on scene, they found two employees in the stall of the men’s bathroom. The employees told the deputies two men wearing masks came into the restaurant. One of them had a gun. An employee said one shot was fired inside the restaurant during the incident.
The suspects took $2,500 in cash and a Samsung smartphone.
The incident is under investigation.
