Eighteen vehicles were broken into over the holiday weekend in Rock Hill neighborhoods.
The incidents on Friday evening occurred on Pinecrest Drive, Red Cedar Lane and Woodfield Road, York County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Trent Faris said.
On Saturday night, vehicles on Surrey Lane, Old Creek Road, and Shadow Pine Court were entered.
Some of the cars that were broken into were unlocked, Faris said. In other cases, windows were smashed.
Items that were stolen from the vehicles include checkbooks, guns, iPods, GPS navigation systems and credit cards.
The sheriff’s office did not indicate if if a suspect has been identified.
