Someone in a large pickup caused $12,000 in damage to the athletic fields at South Pointe High.
On Monday morning, an unknown man vandalized the campus by spinning the wheels of a large white truck through the grass, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
The driver reportedly drove around the softball practice fields, and behind the cafeteria, before driving to the bus loop and through the breezeway. He also spun the truck’s tires in front of the gymnasium’s sidewalk and then went onto the football practice field and around the stadium, the report states.
Police found papers that appeared to have fallen out of the truck with the suspect’s name on them. The name was not released by police.
