Two people are in jail after a traffic stop on Interstate 77 in Rock Hill.
York County sheriff’s deputies on Wednesday pulled over a car driven by Monique Theresa Trappier, 33, of Georgetown at the Mount Holly Road exit to Rock Hill. Trappier gave officers a false name, and once the deputies established her real identity, discovered her driver’s license was suspended, according to a sheriff’s office report.
Following a search, the deputies then discovered Trappier’s passenger, Kalvin Ropel Brown, 46, of Georgetown was carrying 16.5 grams of cocaine and approximately 0.1 grams of crack cocaine, the report states.
Brown was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine and possession of crack cocaine. Trappier was arrested and charged with giving false information to police and driving under suspension. Both were transported to the Moss Justice Center.
