• Register Now for the Father/Son Pitching Camps!! Winthrop Baseball Pitching Coach Kyle DiEduardo is offering three different weekends this year. There is plenty of availability for each weekend. The weekends are Nov. 14-16, Nov. 21-13, and Dec. 5-7. Each weekend consists of three two hour sessions. Session I is a mechanical lecture and video taping. Session II is video review and drill work. Session III is pitching from the stretch, fielding their position, Holding Runners, and more drill work. Cost for each weekend is only $125. • The Winthrop women's basketball team needs ball girls for home games throughout the 08-09 season. Per NCAA rules, eligible girls must be in 8th grade or younger. Middle School and Elementary School coaches are encouraged to let their players know of this opportunity. Interested girls can contact Winthrop assistant coach Chris Vozab directly at vozabc@winthrop.edu for more information and to sign up for participation in upcoming games.

• Tickets for York's home football game against rival Clover on Friday night will be on sale at both schools Wednesday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. York will sell its tickets in the school's athletic department office near the gym. tickets are $6 each.

• Tickets for Chester's first-round home playoff football game against Berea on Friday night at 8 are $6. Only South Carolina High School League Passes require no admission. VIP seating and parking will be honored.

• Tickets for the South Pointe/Rock Hill varsity football game are on sale today at both schools. Rock Hill High is sellIing tickets from its athletics department office, and South Pointe High will sell tickets in the school's main lobby. Both schools will sell tickets from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tickets are $7 in advance and $8 at the gate.
