Rep. Spratt will regret his vote
I cannot believe he said that. John Spratt said: “I voted to send it (the health care bill) to the Senate in hope that a conference will iron out the differences and make the bill better.” In other words, this is a bad piece of legislation, and he is hoping that someone else will make it better. Is this what he calls representing us? Letting Harry Reid clean up this mess rather than standing up for what is right?
The truth is, Spratt is a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat who is interested only in pleasing his party and Nancy Pelosi.
He knows that the majority of people at home believe this health care legislation is not good for us or for this nation. And he voted for it anyway because if he did not, he would have to disapoint his cronies in Washington, and that he will not do.
Well, Mr. Mulvaney is right, and Spratt will find that out when and if he runs again. Of this I am sure.
This issue is going to come back to bite him in the next election.

Give the people affordable insurance
First, I want to thank Rep. John Spratt for his courageous vote to pass health care reform. He does care about the people of South Carolina who want affordable insurance for all, and want to get rid of the pre-existing clause. As a woman, I am also glad that my insurance coverage will equal a man's.
We are tired of insurance companies raising our premiums, and we should have the option to go elsewhere if we can get it cheaper. I will sleep better at night knowing that, if I should lose my job, I will still have health coverage, and I can afford it.

Jobs should be the first priority
After hearing so many people compliment the so-called health care bill, I will try to explain the problem in a very elementary way. If you have a car and the right rear tire is flat, you don't take all four tires off to repair the one that is flat. We all need health care adjustments. but not all aspects of health care need to be changed. We need not start from scratch and change the whole plan. This is just another way the Democrats plan to control more aspects of our everyday life. There are too many hidden requirements in this bill.
No other legislation should have taken place until the economy was taken care of first. The stimulus funds should have been concentrated on jobs, jobs and jobs. People with jobs pay taxes and the economy can grow. The government we have now only creates government jobs that regulate our daily lives. This is called control, control, control!

Seniors should beware of AARP
Attention seniors: AARP is not your friend. They are merely insurance pimps and an arm of the Democrat-Socialist Party. For a “nonprofit,” bipartisan organization, they have amassed a fortune and are as biased as can be.
They're not your friend!

Vote out those who support reform
The Obama/Pelosi/Reed health care reform bill is more than unconstitutional — it is criminal. Everyone in Congress who voted for it should be fired in 2010. Enough is enough!

Don't destroy best health care system
As I read the letters on the health care bill, I wonder how many people ask themselves a few simple questions. How much does the technolgy cost to develop? What is the cost of medical training for doctors and nurses? How much does the treatment for a major heart attack or treatment for cancer or kidney disease cost?
What are the costs for serious injuries from a car crash? If an insurance policy costs about $10 a day, why would you not consider that an investment in your future? Think how much you probably waste every day on alcohol, tobacco or other bad habits. When you are doing this, why should your neighbor, who is taking care of his family, also be paying your share?
Why should seniors who played by the rules, went to work, paid the price by serving in the military, paid their taxes, now have to pay again? It should not be hard to see that people who accept benifits for wages don't want this wiped out by people who may be looking for the free ride. We understand that there are some disadvantaged people who need to be cared for but not those who choose to be that way by dropping out of school or by choice, not working or providing for themselves.
