3 men get life sentences in killing of teen at SC home

Updated 05/10/08 - 2:04 PM | The (Charleston) Post and Courier reports that a jury deliberated less than three hours Friday before finding 21-year-old Leo Gadsden, 23-year-old Anthony Wilder and 22-year-old Keive Smith guilty of murder. Prosecutors say the three men had burst into the home during a robbery in August 2006 when 19-year-old Sterling Spann drove up with a friend. Authorities say the robbers then attacked the men, killing Spann and wounding the friend. Prosecutors say it was nothing short of an execution.
