Fort Mill High School recently held its Fall Sports Awards Night and the varsity MVPs were: Dana Proctor for girls tennis; Tiffany Robbins for girls golf; Sara Bartlett and Alex Carr for swimming; Tiayonna Blackmon and class AAAA state champion Mark Blackmon for cross country and Jared Shaw in football.
Also in football, the Jerry M. Sorrow Award for Heart, Pride, Determination went to Chad Bonner. The J.H. Nesbitt Award for Highest GPA was awarded to Bryan Wright.
• SHRINE BOWL: The Shrine Bowl of The Carolinas has announced a silent auction to coincide with game-week activities.
Items will be on display in the lobby of the Radisson Hotel in Spartanburg from Saturday until Dec. 13. The items will then move for display at the Dec. 13 banquet where the winners will be announced. A partial list of items already on hand is below.

• PALMETTO AWARDS: The South Carolina Football Coaches Association announced its Palmetto Champions All-Star overall winners recently at a banquet in Columbia.
The winners were:
• SOUTH POINTE: South Pointe recently honored its student-athletes at the school's Fall Sports Awards Banquet.
The Stallions' football team made the playoffs and was ranked among Class AAAA's top 10 in the Associated Press and Prep Writers polls most of the season. Both were firsts for the school, which played its second season of varsity football.
• LEWISVILLE AWARDS: Lewisville recently honored its fall athletes and cheerleaders.
The Lions' football team won the Region 3-A championship with a 5-0 record. Dion Foster was chosen to play in the Shrine Bowl and Antwan Robinson was picked for the North-South Game.
