FORT MILL -- Fort Mill remained unbeaten with a 73-48 win over Rock Hill on Wednesday in front of a low-key post-holiday crowd.
Chalmers Rogers and Cam Smith each recorded double-doubles as the Yellow Jackets (13-0, 3-0 Region 3-AAAA) took full advantage of the undersized Bearcats.
Rogers, the 6-foot-7-inch center with a silky smooth touch inside the paint, scored 16 points and pulled down 14 rebounds. He also had four blocks and a pair of steals.
Smith, a 6-6 power forward with some range to his jumper, finished with 10 points and 11 boards.
Never miss a local story.
Fort Mill connected on five of its first six shots from the floor. The lone miss was rebounded by Rogers and promptly netted. The Jackets buried three straight 3-pointers in the first period to take a 17-4 edge.
"We knew we had an obvious size advantage. We used that mismatch," Fort Mill coach Bailey Jackson said. "Chalmers and Cam hit the glass and ran our sets very well early. Those two guys have been in the weight room and have come a long way in four years."
Jackson starts five seniors. Garrett Copeland scored 14 points, Torrell Priest added 11 and Peyton Barker netted seven from the point guard spot.
Jackson said he'd like to have his team start every game the way Wednesday began.
"It was kind of strange with a small crowd and school being out. But Friday will be packed," Jackson said.

Rock Hill coach Bobby Stevens was very impressed with what Fort Mill showed.
"I don't remember seeing a high school team that big that can also shoot the three," Stevens said. "Fort Mill is very good. I'm not sure they have a weakness. They have size, they shoot the three, they can put the ball on the floor. They execute their offense very well."
Fort Mill led 35-12 at intermission. Rock Hill made a run in the third quarter against Fort Mill's second team. The Bearcats nearly cut a 41-14 deficit in half with a 13-0 run.
Jatavious Stewart, a sophomore, scored eight of his game-high 17 points in the rally. Mario McCullough added 13 points for Rock Hill.
