RADFORD, Va. -- Winthrop's Daniel Revivo picked up right where he left off in 2006, as he scored four goals to lead the Eagles to a 5-0 victory over USC-Upstate in the first game of the RU Classic.
Revivo, who scored a hat trick in the Big South Conference championship match against High Point on the same field in 2006, got things going just three minutes into the match.
Grant Wise, playing in his first game with the Eagles after transferring from Memphis, played a ball to Saidi Isaac inside the 18-yard box. Isaac flipped the ball over the defender, settled it with his feet and fed a pass to Revivo in front of the net for an easily placed shot into the back of the net.
Winthrop will take on Binghamton at 1 p.m. today in the third game of the RU Classic.
