Winthrop senior forward Max Hasenstab was tabbed the Big South Conference Attacking Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Hasenstab helped the Eagles to a 1-1 mark last week with a 4-0 home win over USC Upstate and a 3-2 double-overtime loss at Georgia State. Hasenstab had a goal and an assist in the win over USC Upstate at home and then broke a 1-1 tie in the 78th minute at Georgia State with his sixth goal of the year. He assisted on the first goal of the game for an early 1-0 lead.
The three-time All-Big South selection has scored in four straight games and his goal at Georgia State gave him 40 for his career.
This is the second time this season Hasenstab has earned the league’s weekly honor and the fourth time in his career.
