York 190, Chester 228: Will Culp carded a 42 to claim medalist honors and lead the York Cougars to a win over the Chester Cyclones in a non-region match at Chester Golf Club.

York - Will Culp 42, Hamilton McGarity 43, Chayce Blackwell 48, Seth Miller 57.

Chester - John Ferby 47, Joe Covas 60, Gavin Wyatt 60, Cole Taylor 61.


Fort Mill 5, South Pointe 0: The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets won five singles matches and defeated the South Pointe Stallions in a Region 3-AAAA contest at Fort Mill.

Singles: No. 1 - Jay Karwatsky (FM) def. Cannon Cline 6-0, 6-2; No. 2 - Alex Malaj (FM) def. Martin Jackson 3-6, 6-3, 14-12; No. 3 - Erik Lewis (FM) def. Jordan Davis 6-0, 6-0; No. 4 - Matt Brautigam (FM) def. Wesley Smith 6-0, 6-0; No. 5 - Jack Cauthen (FM) def. Westin Smith 6-2, 6-2.


Northwestern 6, Nation Ford 0: The Northwestern Trojans got goals from six different players and toppled the Nation Ford Falcons in a Region 3-AAAA match at Northwestern.

The win improved Northwestern to 14-1-2 overall and 12-1 in the region.

Fort Mill 4, Lancaster 0: The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets defeated the Lancaster Bruins in a Region 3-AAAA contest.

The win improved Fort Mill to 19-3-1 overall and 12-1 in region play.

South Pointe 5, York 0


Fort Mill 7, Lancaster 0: The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets defeated the Lancaster Bruins in a Region 3-AAAA matchup at Fort Mill.

The win kept the Yellow Jackets unbeaten in region play with a 13-0 record.

Indian Land 5, Forest Hills 1: The Indian Land Warriors made the most of five hits and defeated Forest Hills in a non-region contest at Indian Land.

Chris Cantrell led the Warriors at the plate with a pair of hits and one RBI. Chuck Webb added a triple and drove in two runs, while Mike Webb had a double and two RBIs.

Chuck Webb picked up the win for the Warriors, who improved to 12-6 overall. They travel to Pelion on Thursday to open the Class AA playoffs.

Region 4-AA track meet postponed

The Region 4-AA Track Meet has been rescheduled for Monday, May 5 at 4:30 p.m. at Indian Land High School.
