Indian Land swamps North Central in AA baseball playoffs

The Indian Land Warriors pounded out 19 hits and routed North Central 17-2 in the Class AA baseball playoffs at North Central.
The Warriors scored five runs in the third inning to break open a close game. They added five more in the fourth and four in the fifth to stay alive in the loser’s bracket.
Jake Dyer picked up the win for the Warriors. He worked the first four innings.
Chuck Webb led the Indian Land attack with a home run, Ryan Lawson added a triple and Mike Webb a double.
The Warriors travel to Pelion on Monday to playthe Panthers at 6 p.m.
Lewisville 11, Tamassee-Salem 1: The Lions collected 11 hits and toppled the Eagles 11-1 in the Class A playoffs at Richburg.
Callie Murphy led the Lions attack with three hits. Brooke Love and Autumn Jordan each added a pair of hits.
Madison Vinson picked up the win and improved to 13-2 on the year.
Lewisville improved to 23-2 on the year with the win and remained undefeated in the playoffs.
Lewisville will play on Wednesday at Richburg against the survivor of Tamassee-Salem, Southside Christian, and Blackville-Hilda.

Clover 7, Blythewood 5: Brittany Rhinehart got four hits and led the Blue Eagles to a 7-4 win over the Bengals in the Class AAAA playoffs at Blythewood.
Rhinehardt’s four hits drove in three runs for Clover as it stayed unbeaten in the playoffs. Katie Robinson added to the Blue Eagles’ attack with two hits and one RBI.
Elizabeth Edmunds pitched a complete game to record the win. She struck out five.
Clover trailed 5-4 after three innings, but they scored three runs in the fifth to take the lead.
