Robinson had 10 kills for Rock Hill, and her overall play drew praise from Elder.
“Adele (Robinson) is an effective hitter, because she can see the floor,” said Elder. “She can see the block developing, and hits away from it.”
Erin Hottle added seven kills for Rock Hill, and Espinol and Neely Shugart had three blocks each. Espinol also had six aces.
“Laurne (Espinol) is just a sophomore,” said Elder. “She had a great match tonight. She is coming around.”

“Rebekah had the best game of her career,” said Elder. “I was very pleased with the way she played.”
Fort Mill was led by Grubbs with 10 kills, while Carter and Sierra Patterson had six kills each. Jessie Newman had 23 assists for the Yellow Jackets.
“We are better team than we showed tonight,” said Fort Mill coach Gina Farley. “We know we can compete. We just did not play well tonight.”
