Quarterback Thomas Condron's three touchdown passes - all in the first half - led Nation Ford to a 41-7 win over Lewisville Friday night.
The Falcons, 3-1, used a variety of big plays to put the contest out of reach.
"I really felt comfortable throwing the ball," Condron said. "When our offense is clicking, I feel that we are able to move against anyone."
Falcon coach Rusty Jester said the big plays overshadowed several errors, including a defense that allowed the Lions to control the line of scrimmage.
Never miss a local story.
"Overall, we feel that we did not play very well; we made too many mistakes," Jester said. "Our defense was on the field too long, but that is a compliment to Lewisville.
"It is definitely a concern with how long they had the ball and how well they were able to move it against us."
The Lions could find some bright spots Friday, with 213 total yards and two first-half trips inside the red-zone. Those were dimmed, however, by three major miscues leading to 21 Nation Ford points.
Lewisville took the opening kickoff and unleashed an aggressive run attack, featuring Carlos McGraw and Omar Talford. The duo carried six times for 42 yards as the Lions had a first down at the 13.
Then Nation Ford defensive back Sean Potts Harris intercepted a pass in the end zone and returned it 65 yards to the Lion 37.
Nation Ford immediately capitalized with Condron connecting with Will Ford on a 37-yard scoring pass.
The Lion offense once again showed signs of momentum on its next possession, moving from its own 20 to the Falcon 49.
Once again, Nation Ford forced a turnover, recovering a fumble this time.
Condron moved the offense down the field and reached pay dirt with a 27-yard yard screen pass to JJ McCullough, who broke two tackles on his way to the score.
Nation Ford added another score later in the first, with Jake Williams running 49 yards for the score.
With 27 seconds before the half, the Falcons blocked a punt inside the 5-yard line and put the game out of reach when Condron connected with McCullough for the 7-yard touchdown. The Falcons led 28-0 at the half.
Lewisville, 0-3, was highlighted by fullback Omar Talford running for 99 yards on 23 carries.
