York remained steady at No. 3 in the state 4A high school football rankings, released Wednesday afternoon, while Northwestern dropped out of the poll’s top-10 for the first time in at least three years.
The Trojans fell to Charlotte Catholic 45-28 last Friday to drop to 0-2 on the season. They host Irmo Friday at District Three Stadium looking for the first win of 2014.
South Pointe also stayed in place at No. 2 in the 3A rankings, behind Myrtle Beach. There will likely be movement for either South Pointe or York after this Friday.
