Former South Pointe Stallion Corey Neely was named an honorable mention junior college football All-American on Tuesday, in a release from the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Neely, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety who will graduate from Georgia Military College in the spring and join a four-year school’s football program, led the Bulldogs with 91 tackles (in 10 games), three fumble recoveries and three interceptions. He also broke-up a team-high 10 passes.
Neely currently holds offers from Georgia State, James Madison, Kennesaw State, Murray State, Tennessee State, Ball State, Charleston Southern, and interest from plenty of other bigger schools. He’s said previously he expects to decide on a school by January.

O’Daryl Davis-Douglas was named to the ICCAC’s Honorable Mention All-Conference team. Davis-Douglas, the former Northwestern Trojan, made 34 tackles and forced a fumble in 10 games for the 3-7 Panthers.
