Knights remain undefeated at home

FORT MILL -- The Charlotte Knights (7-3) stayed undefeated at home with a 6-5 win against the Columbus Clippers (2-9) at Knights Stadium on Sunday. The Knights have won their first three games at home this year and have a 6-1 record against the Clippers this season.
Knights starter Rob Bell (1-1) earned his first victory with the Knights this season. Bell pitched six innings, striking out three and allowing one run.
Outfielder Dewayne Wise stayed hot, hitting a home run in the fourth inning to take his hitting streak to 10 games.
Knights closer Ehren Wasserman got the Knights out of the game in the ninth. He walked one and allowed no hits to seal the deal for the Knights. Wasserman still leads the International League in saves with five.
The two teams will close out their series today 7:15 p.m. Charlie Haeger (1-1, 5.79 ERA) will start for the Knights. The Clippers will send Mike O'Connor (0-0, 2.70) to the mound.
