Lunch stop

▪ The “Friday Lunch Stop!” sponsored by Rock Hill Parks, Recreation and Tourism, will be 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. each Friday through June 19 at the Black Street parking lot. The 4 Chordsmen share their barbershop music Friday. Greg Lilley closes the series on June 19 with originals and covers of The Eagles, Paul Simon, Maroon 5 and more. Chairs and blankets are welcome. Some seating available.


▪ Shakespeare Carolina will present a modern adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s “The Picture of Dorian Gray,” at 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and June 19-20 and 7:30 p.m. June 17-18 at the Duke Energy Theater at Spirit Square, 345 N. College St., Charlotte. The show is directed by David Hensley, a 2008 graduate of Winthrop University. Tickets available at carolinatix.org.

‘Woof to Wolf’

“Wolves and Wild Lands,” a new exhibition at the Museum of York County, opens Saturday with the family-friendly kickoff event “From Woof to Wolf Family Day,” 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The event will feature activities, crafts and educational programs for canine lovers to learn more about the world of predators and discover facts about endangered animals. Joey Hinton, a postdoctoral researcher at the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources at the University of Georgia, will speak. For information, go to chmuseums.org.

River Park open house

As part of National Great Outdoors Month, Rock Hill Parks and Recreation’s A.L.L. Outdoors group will host National Get Outdoors Day and River Park Open House, 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at River Park. The free event includes geocaching, free kayak demos, nature displays and lots of hands-on fun.

Art sale

Local artists and artisans of York will display and sell their work at “Arts on Broad,” 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at 5 Broad St., York. Items include fine art paintings, prints, pottery, jewelry and hand-crafted furniture.

Horse show

Summer concert

The 2015 Celebration of Summer Concert will be 3-4:15 p.m. Sunday June 14 at Christ Episcopal Church, 534 Plantation Road, Lancaster. Performers include Erin Moon-Kelly, flute; Tim Smith, organ and piano; Rosemary Webster, double bass and piano; and Elaine Thrift, violin. Admission is free. Donations accepted. Cabin Creek returns to the Allison Creek Bluegrass stage 7-9 p.m. Thursday for the last concert of the 13th season at Allison Creek Presbyterian Church at S.C. 274 and Allison Creek Road. This is a free, family-friendly event. Doors open at 6 p.m. Concessions available at 6:30. The 14th season begins in August.
