Speakers from Pennsylvania, New York and Iowa will discuss the impacts of fracking at an event Thursday in Charlotte.
The speakers are part of the “Cautionary Tales from Fracked Communities Tour.” Organizers say the event is intended to prompt discussions about the drilling practice in North Carolina, where a state board is writing rules to regulate it.
The event will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Charlotte, 234 N. Sharon Amity Rd. Bruce Henderson
