Crews from Piedmont Natural Gas are in the Davidson area this week, repairing the damage from washout during the winter along an area where the company installed gas lines two years ago.
The repairs are needed because heavy rain washed out some of the easement along the West Branch of the East Rocky River. That is in an area of major pipeline installation in 2012.
Piedmont officials say equipment being used this week is considerably smaller and less invasive than that used during the installation. The work is expected to be finished this week, the company said.
