A Catawba County man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison after police who were investigating a theft said they found an old methamphetamine lab in the man’s residence.
Brandon Kyle Hensley, 28, of Maiden, was sentenced to between 4 years 7 months and 6 1/2 years in prison, after being convicted of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.
Prosecutors said police in Maiden had gone to Hensley’s residence in April 2013 after someone using the man’s car was involved in a theft at a retail store. Police, armed with a search warrant, entered Hensley’s home on Old Park Road and said they found the remnants of a meth lab.
