The N.C. Public Charter Schools Association will host the 2014 N.C. Charter Schools Conference July 30-Aug. 1 at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside Hotel in Wilmington.
Charter governance, operations, advocacy and instruction will be covered in more than 50 topic-specific sessions, and national keynote speakers and a panel of experts will discuss the future of the state’s charter movement during general session.
Special training for new charter founders on how to complete a charter application will also be held.
Officials expect more than 500 charter school educators, administrators and supporters to attend the annual conference, themed “Waves of Change, Oceans of Opportunity.” The event is also open to the public.
