LAKE WYLIE -- River Hills Lion Anita "Neet" Rounds was presented with the prestigious 2008-2009 Lion of the Year award on June 20.

Since joining the Lions in 2002, Rounds has taken on several leadership roles, including most recently as co-chair of the successful River Hills Lions Golf Tournament & Business Expo. She also has served on the Board of Directors for several years.

Rounds is a mentor at Clover High School, and has worked on the Lions holiday party, pot luck supper, benefit dinner, sold Christmas Trees and helped screen Clover students at the Lions Mobile Screening Unit.

When she is not busy helping the Lions, she can be found at Clover Area Assistance Center working as a computer liaison between CAAC and the software program provider. She also is active at the Emergency Food & Shelter Program writing grants, computer programming and disbursing money.

In her spare time, she can be found power walking or teaching fitness at the SportsCenter in Lake Wylie.

She also enjoys playing Nintendo mind games, such as Sudoku, and loves science fiction.

Rounds and her husband, Nick, moved to River Hills in 2001. They each have two children and three grandchildren.
