A Fort Mill man was arrested June 9 after police say they found him passed out on the ground behind his truck.
Tega Cay Police patrolling Nivens Creek Boat Landing on Lake Wylie found the 53-year-old man, identified as a Fort Mill resident, around 5 a.m. June 9. He was allegedly lying unconscious behind his parked truck. An officer tried to come to his aid, but was forced to stop short because the man’s pit bull, chained to the truck, wouldn’t allow the officer to get close, the report states.
After the officer said he yelled at the man repeatedly, he eventually woke up and staggered over to speak with the officer. He was disoriented and had urinated on himself, the report states. The man was arrested and charged with public disorderly conduct.
