ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Lucile Chalk Joe, 67, of 1038 Henderson St., died Sunday, June 17, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 7, 1939 in Chester, S.C., to the late Lonnie Chalk Sr. and Josie Bell Wyle Chalk. She attended Chester County public schools. She worked for Radiator Specialty Company. Her church affiliations were Christian Home, Eternal Rock and Faith Bible.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Joe; brothers, Lonnie Chalk Jr. and James L. Chalk; and sister, Lula Sims.
She leaves to cherish her memories sons, Robert Chalk (Loretta) of Chester, S.C., Charles Chalk (Maxine) of Harrisburg, Pa., and James Chalk, Samuel Chalk and Tony Chalk, all of Rock Hill, S.C.; daughters, Juanita L. Blake of Rock Hill, Brenda L. Adams (James) of Clover, S.C.; brothers, Arthur Chalk (Jessie) of Chester, Tommie Chalk (Haroldyne) and Wallace Chalk of Rock Hill; sisters, Mattie McClurkin and Josie Pressley, both of York and Shirley McClurkin, Gloria McClurkin (John), Janie McCoy and Brenda McCleave (David), all of Rock Hill; 15 grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marie Hall of Wilmington, N.C., Sara Young and Fannie Jackson (Major) of Charlotte; brother-in-law, Robert Lee Joe (Margaret) of Wilmington; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today, June 21, 2007 at Agape International Ministries, with Evangelist Fred Murphy Jr. officiating and Pastor Maurice Revel assisting. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.
