FORT MILL -- Mrs. Helen Kathleen Yandle Brown, 89, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at St. John's United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joseph E. Tysinger officiating. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery.
Born September 20, 1917, in Monroe, N.C., Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late Warren Clyde Yandle and Lillie Mae Wilkerson Yandle.
She was retired from Springs Industries after 40 years of service and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brown enjoyed gardening, working in her yard and ceramics. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the widow of Plato Lin Brown (1970).

Surviving are three sons and daughter-in-law, Robert and Selma Brown of Valdese, N.C., and Larry Brown and Warren Brown, both of Fort Mill; her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Merle Barber of Bluffton; her brother, Billy Ray Yandle of Monroe; two sisters, Doris Billingsley and Willie Faye Helms, both of Monroe; five grandchildren, Sandra Mishamandani (Mansour), Cathy Starnes (Willie), Robert Brown Jr. (Mariea), Dana Cherry (Shawn) and Jeffrey Brown; and nine great-grandchildren, Sara and Samantha Mishamandani, Logan and Lex Starnes, Jackson and Davis Brown, and Tyler, Will and Drew Cherry.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., today at Wolfe Funeral Home.
