YORK -- Mr. Samuel Willis Dressler, 65, of 112 Benfield Ave. died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at The Episcopal Church Of The Good Shepherd. The Rev. Mr. Robert Gaillard Kirkland will be officiating.
Mr. Dressler was a son of the late William Edwin Dressler and Margaret Willis Dressler. He was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1963, and was retired from Duke Power and its affiliates after 30 years. Mr. Dressler also retired from the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserves after 30 years of service as a Colonel O6, where he received the Meritorious Service Medal.
Mr. Dressler is survived by his mother, Margaret Willis Dressler of Roanoke, Va.; his wife, Susan Matthews Dressler of York, S.C.; two sons, Samuel Willis Dressler Jr. (Tami Porter Dressler) of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Philip Evans Dressler (Julia Ballard Dressler) of Charlotte, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Samuel Willis Dressler III, Philip Evans Dressler Jr., Chloe Susanne Dressler, Ingram McIver Dressler, Brandon Scott Jones, Chase Tyler Jones and Alyssa Michelle Jones.

Visitation will be held at The Episcopal Church of The Good Shepherd on Wednesday following the service.
