FORT MILL -- Mr. William Edward Fowler, 79, of Fort Mill, died Monday, June 25, 2007, at his home.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. today, June 27, 2007 at Unity Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jeannie Bickett officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall and other times at the home.
Born in Kershaw, Mr. Fowler was a son of the late William Fowler and Eileen Floyd Fowler. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Eli Bailes Post 43 American Legion. Mr. Fowler retired from Springs Industries as an engineer. He was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Joyce P. Fowler; three daughters and sons-in-law, Martha Pietkiewicz and Marion and Jim Cook, all of Fort Mill and Becca and Johnny Burg of Columbia; his sister, Betty Carson of Yantis, Texas; six grandchildren, Kate and Will Pietkiewicz, Elizabeth Coles, Parker Cook and John and Thomas Burg; and his great-grandson, Charlie Coles.
