CHESTER -- Mr. Gene Jolly, 62, of 932 Enix Road died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, as a result of a motorcycle accident.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Barron Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Sanders officiating.
A native of Whiteville, N.C., Mr. Jolly was the son of the late Montrose and Gladys Ethel Carter Jolly. He was employed with Chester Wood Products and was a graduate of Whiteville High School.
Surviving is his wife, Vickia Smith Jolly; three sons, Nicholas Gene Jolly of Rock Hill, S.C., Chuckey Deese of Lancaster and Mark Deese and his wife, Karen of Chester, S.C.; one daughter, Sandy Martin and her husband, Eddie Martin of Chester; seven grandchildren, Joshua and Andrea Shute and Kelli and Lisa Ashworth, all of Chester, Christian, Virginia and Tyler Deese of Lancaster, S.C.; one brother, Frank Lewis of Shallotte, N.C.; one sister, Shirley Bullard of Whiteville, N.C.; and a special friend, Gene Robinson of Chester, S.C.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester and other times at the home, 932 Enix Road and also at the home of his son Nicholas Gene Jolly, 1880 Mount Holly Road, Rock Hill, S.C.
