KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. -- Mrs. Deborah Faye Haskins Gladden, 50, of Williams Road, Kings Mountain, N.C., died June 28, 2007, at Carolinas Medical Center.
She was born in Cleveland County, N.C., and was a 1974 graduate of Crest High School. She was employed as an inspector with STI of Kings Mountain for 14 years and was a member of Christian Freedom Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, working with the Made for Praise Sunday School Class and a member of the church choir.
Mrs. Gladden enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and the new grandson, Hunter. She was very active in her church and loved her church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Heaber August Haskins and Mary Ruby Neelands Haskins; brother-in-law, Benton Lee Hamrick; and nephew, Todd Haskins
Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Freddie Eugene Gladden Sr.; sons, Freddie Eugene Gladden Jr. and fiancée, Tamela Wright of Kings Mountain and Jason Scott Gladden and wife, Tara of Grover; brothers, Johnny Haskins of Toluca, N.C., Raymond Haskins of Fallston, N.C., Steve Haskins of Kings Mountain, Emmett Haskins of Shelby, N.C., Bobby Haskins of Grover, N.C., Larry Haskins of Shelby and Jerry Haskins of Boiling Springs, N.C.; sisters, Willie "Billie" Hamrick of Rock Hill, S.C., Linda Ledbetter of Kings Mountain and Sheila Haskins of Gastonia, N.C.; grandchildren, Hunter Scott Gladden; mother-in-law, Shirley Owens of Kings Mountain; and father-in-law and wife, Jim and Jeanette Lail of Kings Mountain.
The funeral will be 4:30 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Christian Freedom Church in Kings Mountain, with the Rev. Mike Chambers officiating. Burial will be at Christian Freedom Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, June 30, 2007 at Christian Freedom Church Sanctuary.
