ROCK HILL -- Ms. Bess Fischer Douglas, 56, of 214 Ridley St., passed away Friday, June 29, 2007 at her home.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2007, at Grandview Memorial Park - Cherry Road .
A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Ms. Douglas was a daughter of Charles Fischer Sr. of Philadelphia and the late Athena Baxavaneos Fischer. Ms. Douglas was of the Greek Orthodox faith and was the secretary for the American Legion Frank Roach Post 34. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Frank Roach Post 34 and VFW Post 2889 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a loving mother and a friend and supporter of all veterans.
Ms. Douglas is survived by her sons, Jesse Link of Conway, S.C., and Ron Link of Lakeland, Fla.; her daughter, Karen Walters of Redding, Pa.; her father, Charles Fischer of Philadelphia; her brother, Charles Fischer Jr. of Philadelphia; her fiancé, James "Jim" Bobb of Rock Hill; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill and after the graveside service.
