ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Leona Mae Lechtanski (formerly Leona Mai Garlick), 86 years young, born June 25, 1921, in Chillicothe, Mo., to the late Ruthie Mae and Arthur Robert Garlick, died at her home in Chandler Place in Rock Hill, Monday, July 2, 2007.
Formerly of South 32nd Street, South Bend, Ind., and a resident of the Carolinas since May 2000, Mrs. Lechtanski lived in South Bend for 56 years and was a former member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church.
On March 28, 1946, in Long Beach, Calif. she married Alex Lechtanski who proceeded her in death November of 2000.
She is survived by a son, Frank Angotti of Parkville, Mo.; two grandsons and three great-granddaughters all of Calif.; two nieces, Janet Smith of Fort Mill, S.C. and Pat Peters of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Shirley Miller of Kansas City, Mo. and a sister-in-law, Harriet Konopinski, formerly of South Bend, currently residing in Charlotte.

Services for Mrs. Lechtanski will be held 2:30 p.m., Friday, July 6, 2007, at Riverview Cemetery Chapel, South Bend, Ind.
