Alice Ray

CLOVER -- Mrs. Alice Marie Montville Ray, 85, of 6075 Little Mountain Road, died July 9, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2007 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Irvin Plowden officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Ray was born Dec. 31, 1921 in Worchester, Mass., to the late Felix and Emma Isrow Montville. She was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for many years. Mrs. Ray was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, friend and will be deeply missed by her family.

Survivors are her husband of 55 years shown in picture above, Thomas Ray of Clover, S.C.; daughter, Sandra Porter of Abingdon, Va.; stepdaughter, Kathleen Ray of Marion, Ill.; stepson, Thomas Ray of West Branch, Mich.; sister, Emma Ann LaPratt of Texas; three brothers, Felix Montville of Conway, S.C., Herman Montville of Michigan and Darwin Montville of Tennessee; and 26 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home.

M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Clover is serving the family of Mrs. Ray.
