ROCK HILL-- Mr. Horace Gary Wade Sr., 84, of 2527 River Bottom Road, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Catawba Ward, with Bishop Todd Osborn and Milton Osborn officiating. Burial will be in the Catawba Church Cemetery.
A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Wade retired from the Anilox Roll Co. and was a past employee of the Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Catawba Ward. He also was very proud of his family, proud of his Indian heritage and proud to be an American.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Wade of Rock Hill; one son, Gary Wade Jr. of Rock Hill; one daughter, Sherry Osborn of Rock Hill; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Wade.
