COLUMBIA -- Mr. George William Mozingo Jr., 80, of 307 N. Stonehedge Drive, died Monday, July 16, 2007, at Lexington Medical Center.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Laurelwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Larry Hays officiating.
Born in Mars Bluff, S.C., Mr. Mozingo was the son of the late George W. Mozingo Sr. and Mary Sue Harrington Mozingo. He was a 1944 graduate of Winthrop Training School, a 1948 Clemson graduate, a Navy veteran of World War II and retired textile engineer with Allied Chemical Corporation.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Laye Mozingo of Columbia, S.C.; two sons, George W. Mozingo III, M.D., and his wife, Carol of Lumberton, N.C., and Robert Harrington Mozingo and his wife, Coby of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; one daughter, Mary Jane Mozingo Toole and her husband, George of Columbia; nine grandchildren, Alex Mozingo, Clayton Mozingo, Caroline Mozingo, Ryan Toole, Peyton Toole, Bryson Toole, Savannah Mozingo, West Mozingo and Parker Mozingo; and one great-grandchild, Ella Grace Mozingo.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Clemson Fund at Clemson University, P.O. Box 1889, Clemson, SC 29633.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday before the service at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.
