ROCK HILL -- Mr. James Lawrence Brown, 57, of 238 Wayland Road, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2007 at Chester First Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. John R. Porter officiating. Burial will take place at Chester Memorial Gardens.
A native of York County, Mr. Brown was the son of Viola Peay Brown of the home and the late Carl E. Brown. He was a member of Chester First Church of the Nazarene and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a Nuclear Maintenance Specialist for the Catawba Nuclear Plant for 24 years.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Sylvia W. Brown of the home; his son, Russell C. Brown and wife, Tiffany of the home; his daughter, Michelle Brown of the home; and his grandchildren, Master Kalieb James Brown and Miss Victoria Michelle Brown, both of the home.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 19, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill and other times at the home.
