FORT MILL -- Mrs. Olga Waligunda, 85, of Lazywood Lane, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007 in Ambler, Pa., after a brief illness.
A native of Scranton, Pa., she was the daughter of Samuel and Helen Ternowitz. She was married for 46 years to the late Chester Waligunda.
She is survived by her son, David Waligunda of Hopewell Jct., N.Y., and daughter, Susan Wade of Ambler, Pa., and their spouses; a sister, Mary Vitale; and nieces and nephews. Two sisters preceded her in death.
She accepted Jesus as her Savior at a young age and faithfully served Him all of her life. She was loved by family and her many friends, especially George Snyder of Fort Mill.

Upon retiring from the New York State Correctional System, she became a resident of Fort Mill in 1985, and was most recently employed for 14 years at Carowinds. She loved gardening and travel.
At her request, her body was donated to the University of Pennsylvania for research.
A memorial service will be held in the future.
